Carpet's Cleaned

We were up early as we had a appointment with Tesco's. We are really making the most of the car so we booked a slot with Rug Doctor a carpet cleaner you hire from Tesco's. You book it on line and are given a code to open a box which contains the cleaner. You are then given a allocated time to return it by. You have to go and buy the detergent separately at the tills. We set about brushing and vacuuming the carpet first and then got to work on the cleaner. Well you should have seen the dirt that came out of the carpet, it was disgusting. The whole lot came to £30.00 but if you teamed up with another couple of boats it could work out very cheap. It took us about two hours to clean the carpet and about 25 litres of warm water.
We left Derwent6 to dry out and took the cleaner back. We then diverted into Braunston and picked up some retaining clips Del had ordered last week from Midland Chandlers. On the way back we stopped and picked up some wood we noticed on the cut last week. We got back to Derwent6 just as it was about to rain and spotted Dave and Angie on n.b Lady Esther mooring up behind us. This is the couple that kindly gave us the mooring pin covers we use. As the rain got harder we went inside for something to eat and then while sitting in the cratch spotted Pip and Roger on n.b. Windsong mooring up in front of us in the rain. We couldn't talk as the rain just got harder.
Wow, much needed rain and it seemed a bit of a novelty to hear it on the roof again, we and nature definitely need it. We chilled in front of the telly for most of the night still trying to dry out Derwent6, and started on one of our Easter eggs!

I hope we also have that kind of service here at home. It’s very convenient and practical, since carpet cleaning is not something you do on a daily basis. It’s cool to be able to save storage space, yet still have something to use come cleaning time. :]

I’d love to try this very convenient machine too! Though I enjoy cleaning our carpets manually, still, I’d like to experience its wonders! I really can’t wait to try it out for myself!

Though I prefer and trust my own hands in cleaning our carpet, still, I was fascinated with the cleaning wonders that this machine can do. I’m thinking of trying this one myself and see if it can really help me in cleaning my carpet. It sounds cool to use a machine once in a while!
